ABOUT THE COFFEE and REGION:
Finca La Curva is located in Santa Cruz de Mora, in Venezuela’s Mérida Andes—often called ‘The Land of Coffee.’ The farm reaches up to 1,700 meters above sea level and is divided into altitude-based zones, with Castillo varieties grown between 1,000–1,200 meters and Yellow Catuai cultivated at higher elevations from 1,500–1,700 meters.
Luis Andrades, a multi-generational coffee producer, has managed the farm for decades alongside his eldest daughter, Kelly. He also founded a regional coffee producers association, which supports local farmers with processing infrastructure, including pulping, sorting, and drying.
