ABOUT THE COFFEE and REGION:

Typica, one of the earliest Arabica varieties, has become increasingly rare due to its low resistance to diseases, particularly in Latin America, due to these difficulties is rarely to find this varietal. 

This lot comes from El Danto, from the farm of Maria Elena Castro, located in Zarcero within Costa Rica’s renowned West Valley, at around 1,750 meters above sea level—ideal for producing high-quality coffee. While Typica stands out for its exceptional cup profile, the farm also cultivates other varieties to support diversity and resilience.
